The Rhode to The Rest of Our Lives: Guys Get Dressed

While the girls, my mom, and I were getting ready at the Renaissance Hotel, the guys were getting ready in the master bedroom of our house.

I know I haven't gone into details about our house yet (I'm trying to finish up these recaps first!) but, the master bedroom is over 800 sq. ft. so it is more than large enough for four guys and a photographer.

Plus, the lighting is perfect since there are so many windows.

Seeing these pictures from our second photographer was so great for me, since I (obviously) wasn't there for this part.  I loved seeing how simple it was for the guys to get ready, and how dapper they all looked once they were dressed.

I also loved that my dad was a part of the getting ready process for the guys.  Seeing him included in this day means so much to me.

And my dad has no idea how to smile on command (and you'll notice this more in the formal pictures), so to see him smiling in the photo below is great.  Shows you how great our photographers were at catching the candid shots.

FI putting on his tie.  We never had the guys try the ties on with the suits, as you may recall from our shopping experience, so to everyone, this was the first shot of seeing the entire ensemble put together.

After getting dressed, the final steps were the little details, like the pocket squares.  When I saw everyone at the ceremony, each of them had their pocket squares folded differently, and I loved the unique look it gave.  I was so proud to have them wear the pocket squares that I made for them.

The last thing to do before heading out to the venue was to hand over the rings.  FI gave his dad, his Best Man, the rings for the ceremony. And, in order to keep them safe, he actually put them on his keyring.  Works for me!

Oh, and because the guys were getting ready in our bedroom, one of our kitties made it into a few shots, too.  The other one was too scared, and was hiding under the bed.

I have to say, I am a little jealous that FI was able to take some pictures with our cat.  I wanted so badly to be able to incorporate them on the wedding day.

Did you include your pets on your wedding day?  How about your guys? Were you jealous of how short an amount of time it took them to get ready?
